An election will be required to determine appointment to Director positions for which more than 1 nomination has been received. Eligible members will receive ballot papers and election material along with an election explanatory notice by mail (to be sent by close of business Friday, 6th November). Please follow the instructions included in the explanatory notes/ballot papers to ensure your vote is valid.
Ballot papers are required to be received by return mail or in person by placing in the locked ballot box located in the reception area of the Club’s office, by 12.00 noon, Monday 23rd November. Election results will be announced at the Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday 23rd November 2020 commencing at 7.30 pm.
There is no election required for those Director positions where only 1 nomination has been received. These Director appointments will be confirmed at the Annual General Meeting.
As this election process can only be conducted by mail (election material cannot be delivered in person) please advise the club should you have any concern that your mailing address might be out of date, prior to close of business, Thursday 5th November.
The election vote counting process will be conducted in accordance with the Standard Preferential Voting System. There is a requirement for scrutineers (2-3) to oversee the vote count on the afternoon of the 23rd November, please advise the Club if you are able to act as a scrutineer (nominees are excluded from acting as a scrutineer).
It is great that so many members have indicated a desire to serve the Club as a Director for the year. It would be equally great that this preparedness to serve the club by nominees be matched with a very strong voting response from members.

Returning Officer
