Dear Members, following on from further rain over the past few days, a quick update on Course conditions.
Tomorrow, on the Main Course, at this stage we will have walking golf only and will endeavour to continue to hold the Competition, subject to any further rain. The 2nd round of the Club Matchplay Championship has been postponed and will be rescheduled to next Saturday, 5th April. Golf carts will not be able to be used on course tomorrow. The Main Course is very wet with further rain predicted.
The Heritage Course and Driving Range are closed until further notice. Heritage 9 members are welcome to play on the Main Course tomorrow subject to booking availability. The Get into Golf Women’s event schedued for tomorrow morning has also been cancelled due to the weather. The Junior Clinics & Women’s golf clinics have also been cancelled tomorrow. The Clubhouse will remain open tomorrow for food & beverage, come and try the new menu.
A decision in relation to the Sunday competition will be made tomorrow afternoon. The timesheet header for the Sunday competition will be updated and a message sent to players tomorrow afternoon, following a review of course conditions.
Tomorrow night’s Boxing Exhibition event will proceed from 6.00 pm, Members are advised that the event is heavily subscriobed with only 20–30 tickets available for sale to members (20% discount on presentation of VGC members card) at the door.
