Dear Members, just a quick update on Club preparations for TC Alfred completed this am.
Thanks to the efforts of Club staff and Volunteers the preparations for the major weather event have been completed this morning. We consider the major risk to be innundation, with the cyclone expected to make landfall on a very high tide, along with tree damage from high winds. The lower levels of the clubhouse have been sandbagged, all floor stock in proshop lifted, golf carts reloacted to higher ground are amongst the works completed this am in preparation, bins removed from course etc..
Members are advised that the Golf Shop and Clubhouse will be closed tomorrow, (Thursday) & Friday, and will re-open Saturday as normal subject only to the effects of the wind & rain. An update on course conditions will be provided (if possible) on Friday.
