Due to the ongoing wet weather and course conditions a decision has been made to cancel tomorrows Closing Day Friendship Cup and Presentation of Trophies ceremony. The VGC Opening day is an important event on our calendar has been rescheduled to Next Sunday, 24th November.
Unfortunately, we have had to change the time sheet already up for next Sunday to accommodate the shotgun starting arrangements for our Opening Day Event. Members who had already booked into next Sundays single stableford comp unfortunately will be deleted from the time sheet because of the change in time sheet format, those wishing to play in the Opening day are able to re-book their time/tee. The time sheet for for next Sunday 24th November is now open.
The format will be consistent with that previously advised as follows.
Event Details: This year’s event is a 4BBB Stableford, prizes will be awarded in three team categories of Men’s, Women’s and Mixed. The NTP’s prizes will be in each Men’s and Women’s categories.
Festivities begin with a sausage sizzle and light refreshments from 11:15am on the main Terrace area of the club-house. The event will start with a 12:30pm shotgun start to kick things off.
In recognition of the achievements of Members in 2024 the Virginia Golf Club will again host the annual Champions Dinner in-conjunction with the event and festivities. The night will include a scrumptious buffet and the chance to celebrate the major event winners for 2024.
