Dear Members,

As Members will be aware, nominations for appointment to VGC Director roles for the 2024/25 year closed at 5.00 pm on Friday 25th October.

Duly completed nominations have been received from the following members for appointment as Directors for the 24/25 year (listed alphabetically) , 

President – Ray Mawdsley, Noel McLean, Vice President – Mitch Daly, Captain – Greg Seaborn, Vice Captain – Corey Stafford, Treasurer – Phil Baker, Greens Director – Michael Joel, Mick Newell, Ian Squires, Membership Director – Scott Payne, Michael Pullinger, Director of Women’s Golf – Narelle Fraser, Director – Michael Joel, Helen Masterson, Scott Payne, Damian Ryan. 

As there was only 1 nomination received for the Director positions of Vice President, Captain, Vice Captain, Treasurer & Director of Women’s Golf, nominees for these position will be elected unopposed, which will be ratified at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Monday, 25th November at 7.30.pm.

For the positions of President, Greens Director, Membership Director & Director, as there has been more than 1 nomination received for each of these positions, an election for appointment to each position will now proceed.  Members should expect voting materials including ‘how to vote’ instructions to be received by mail from the week commencing Monday 4th November. The voting material will include brief information of the ‘commercial & sporting backgrounds’ of each nominee.

Members will be unable to obtain voting materials from the Club once the mailing of voting material has been completed. 

In accordance with the Club’s constitution, all nominations are now displayed in the breezeway.

Member voting will close at 9.00 am on Monday 25th November. Results of the elections will be announced at the AGM.
