Dear Members,
As previously advised, nominations for appointment to VGC Director roles closed at 5.00 pm on Friday 4th November.
As there was more than one nomination received for appointment to the position of President of the Club, an election will now proceed for members to vote on appointment to this position. Nominations were received from Greg Seaborn & Ray Mawdsley. Voting material for the election of the Club’s President will be mailed to members by close of business tomorrow, Thursday 10th November. All members are strongly encouraged to vote by following the voting instructions included in the election material.
Members are requested where possible to return completed ballot papers (in the envelope provided) in person and place in the locked ballot box in the foyer of the Club’s administration area. Ballots can also be returned via the reply paid enveloped provided, but we do strongly recommend to return in person to avoid any delays in mail delivery impacting on the vote process.
Completed ballots must be received not later than 9.00 am on Monday 28th November. The candidate elected as Club President for the 22/23 year will be announced at the Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday 28th November commencing from 7.30pm.
Members are advised that there is no ability to obtain replacement or additional voting documents from the club.
Nominations have been received from the following members for appointment as Directors for the 22/23 year, Mick Pullinger – Vice President, Ross Smith – Captain, Brian Adams – Vice Captain*, David Crosdale – Treasurer, Ian Squires – Greens Director, Corey Stafford – Membership Director, Ann Squires – Director of Women’s Golf, Mitch Daly – Director*.
As there was one nomination received for each of these Director positions, each of the above nominees will elected unopposed to the specified Director position which will be confirmed at the AGM to be held on Monday, 28th November commencing at 7.30 pm All members are welcome to attend.
