The 2022 Captain’s Trophy Match Play qualifying round was played today in conjunction with the Monthly Medal Single Stroke. Cool conditions greeted the morning players but it wasn’t long before the cool turned into a fine day for all players. It was the top 16 scores that would qualify for the match play phase of this event and some good scores they were! The first round will be played as a seeded draw next Saturday 16 July with all players being added into the time sheet prior to next weeks sheet being released. Today’s Monthly Medal results in each grade went to A grade: Allard Bernhofen with 67 nett , B grade: Matt James with 66 nett and the C: grade winner was Bill Hodges with 64 nett, Bill also took out the Virginia Cup with that cracking score, well done Bill. The Women’s winner was Shelly Heuston with 75 ocb.
