Dear Members, a brief update on proceedings from the Club’s Annual General Meeting held yesterday.
A highlight of the meeting was the unanimous approval by members present to award Life Membership of the Club to Mick O’Malley. This motion proposed by the Club President presiding over the meeting was seconded by member Michael Ryan. Mick spoke after this award had been conferred and was very honoured to have been recognised in this way for his service to VGC and members over many years.
Folowing of from elections for a number of Board of director positions, the Clubs Board of Directors for the upcoming year is as follows:
President – Noel McLean, Vice President – Mitch Daly, Captain – Greg Seaborn, Vice Captain – Corey Stafford, Treasurer – Phil Baker, Greens Director – Ian Squires, Director of Women’s Golf – Narelle Fraser, Membership Director – Mick Pullinger, Director – Helen Masterson.
Congratulations to all appinted to directorships for the 24/25 year.
The meeting acknowledged the contribution of retiring Club President Greg Seaborn after the completion of 4 years as President (which is the limit of an incumbent as President in accord with the Club’s Constitution) and the achievements of the Club during Greg’s tenure as President and for his contribution to the Club.
