The Men’s Club Championship is in full swing with the third round results complete. Also played in conjunction with the third round was the September Monthly Medal and the Women’s Club Championships Rd 1 a busy day had by all.
With the Men’s final round set for next Saturday 28 September we also have the top 8 gross scores being seeded in each grade for the final round. A reminder to be eligible to win your grade in the Gross event seeded players must play in the allocated times given, those players outside of the top 8 are still able to win the Gross in each grade. Monthly Medal : A Grade a blast from the past Darren Shepherd 69 Nett ocb, B Grade Sean Wroe 67 Nett, C Grade Brian Weidman 70 Nett
A Grade : Well what a surprise to see Steve Sinclair on top going into the final round, with scores of 74-71-72 total 217 leads Ethan Anderson 79-69-70 total 218. The way this is set to finish is Steve can clinch his 11th title in this event or Ethan can win his first, either way it is sure to be a great sceptical on Saturday good luck to both players. B Grade : Subhash Chand has rocketed his way into the lead in B Grade with a superb round of 83 and after rounds of 92-85-83 total 260 has him in front by one shot from Damon Lowry 92-83-86 total 261 is there to strike in the final round. The full result can be seen here.
C Grade : Dave Holtham has a solid lead going into the final round after rounds of 86-92-97 total 275 is eight shots clear of Bailey Smith 96-90-97 total 283 and Brian Weidman 93-103-89 total 285 sits in third spot. The full result can be seen here.
Seniors : Steve Sinclair has a solid lead in the Seniors Gross sitting on 217, clear of Grag Tagg on 230. The full result can be seen here.
Juniors : Hamish McKnight is in control in the Juniors with rounds of 81-79-78 total 238 leads from Peter Rose 83-80-81 total 244. The full result can be seen here.
Overall Graded Nett : A Grade Sam Yound leads with 68-75-69 total 212. B grade George Roy leads on 73-74-69 total 216. C Grade Cooper Black leads on 75-70-73 total 218. The full Nett result can be seen here.
Curlew Cup : Ben Copeman on97 nett has hit the lead after Rd 3 of the Curlew Cup, four shots clear of Brendan Laudani 101 and five shots from Ross Wotherspoon on 102. With one round to go anyone within the top 10 are sure to make it a tight contest in the end. The full result can be seen here.
Women’s Club Championship Rd 1 : With a solid first round score of 90 gross Ivoni Maguire has blasted out of the blocks and leads the Women’s Club Championship. Two shots back is the ever present Kea Schwarz with a score of 92 and with Kea’s winning record she is sure to be right in the finish next Saturday. Leanda Whitton on 93 three back and Rose Pullinger, Abbie Cook and Narelle Fraser all with scores of 94 are just four shots off the pace heading into next weeks final round.
