Summer Cup 

Saturday February 18th and Saturday February 25th  2023

 The Summer Cup is a Men’s Honour Board event played over two rounds of Single Stroke.

  • The winner of the Summer Cup is the player with the best gross score after two rounds in A/B/C grades. The grade you are in as at the first round is the grade you will compete for the Summer Cup.
  • The Summer Cup is also a qualifying event for the Club Match Play Championships, which is also an Honour Board event.
  • The best 8 gross scores in A/B/C grades qualify for the Club Match Play Championships.
  • After the first round of the Summer Cup, the top 8 gross scores in each grade will play the following Saturday 25th February in the afternoon seedings from the first tee, 10:53am – 11:28am.
  • The Seeded draw will be available at the close of competition after the first round of the Summer Cup.
  • The Tee times for the seeded draw will be automatically blocked on the timesheet for all grades, Saturday 25th February 10:53am – 11:28am.
  • Any player unable to play in designated seeding times (Unless in Extreme Circumstances) will be ineligible to win the Summer Cup. (Please contact Ross Smith, Captain)
  • In the event of a tie the count back system will be used.
  • If unable to adhere to these conditions please do not qualify for this event.

 Club Match Play Championships

 Saturday March 4th, Rd 1 –  Saturday March 11th Semi Final – Saturday March 18th Final Rd

  • The seedings for Club Match Play Championships will be determined after the second round of the Summer Cup. The grade you are in as at the first round is the grade you will qualify in for the Match Play Rounds.
  • Seedings for the Match Play Championships will be available at the close of competition.
  • The Club Match Play Championships will have seeded groups in the afternoon from the first tee A/B/C grades.
  • Tee times will be on the seeded draw, and will be automatically blocked on the timesheet for all grades. Rd 1 Matches Saturday 4th March 10:53am-11:28am, Semi Final Saturday 11th March 10:53am-11:07am and Final Rd Saturday 18th March 10:53am-11:00am.
  • The Club Match Play Championships is a non handicap event.
  • Summer Cup 2nd round cards will have a Red stamp (are you playing the match play rounds if you qualify? YES / NO players will need to Circle Yes to qualify.
  • Any player unable to play in designated seeding times (Unless in Extreme Circumstances) will be ineligible to win the Club Match Play. (Please contact Ross Smith, Captain)
  • In the event of a tie, players will continue matches from the first hole (sudden death).
  • If unable to adhere to these conditions please do not qualify for this event.

         THE DECISIONS BY THE MATCH COMMITTEE AND ITS AUTHORISED REPRESENTATIVES IS FINAL
