Following on from an inspection of the course this morning, we advise members that for tomorrow, Thursday, the scheduled single stableford competition holes 1-18 will be played, but walking Golf only.
A separate 9 hole competition will be held on holes 10-18 where golf carts can be used. Members who wish to play in this 9 hole event are requested to book on the revised booking sheet to be issued this afternoon at 2.00 pm. There are some areas on the front 9 still too wet to open for golf carts tomorrow, we hope to have all holes open for play with carts by the weekend.
The scheduled Thursday Club event has been cancelled tomorrow. Friday’s 9’er event & Sip n Chip will proceed as planned at this stage. The Heritage 9 & Driving Range remain closed until at least the weekend.
Members who wish to use golf carts on 10-18 tomorrow are asked to please avoid obvious wet areas, to please use cart paths where provided and avoid damage to the course to the extent possible.
We understand this situation for tomorrow is a bit messy and apologise, but rather than close the course to carts entirely and therefore limit course access to those members who wish to use a golf cart, we are simply trying to provide an option to those members & acknowledging that the course has been impacted now for an extended period of time.
