Following on from our post of yesterday, we have undertaken a detailed inspection of the course today. Regrettably we must advise that the course remains very wet and has not sufficiently dried for any golf to be played tomorrow. As a result, tomorrows competition play has been cancelled & the course will remain closed. On course, there are a number of fairways where significant areas of casual water remain evident (on both front & back 9) along with some green aprons which remain wet.
A further inspection will be conducted tomorrow. We fervently hope that the course will have dried sufficiently by tomorrow afternoon to permit the Sunday competition to proceed, albeit it is, at least based on todays course conditions, highly improbable that carts will be able to be used on course on Sunday.
We will provide a further course update tomorrow afternoon in relation to Sunday play. We will do whatever we can reasonably do to get members back on course as soon as we can including a potential Sunday competition on an ‘altered course’ to play what holes might be available if we are unable to open all 18 holes.
The Clubhouse & bistro remain open tomorrow & Sunday, practice putting green etc, I am sorry that there is no golf.
