I am sure you will all join with me in congratulating VGC Junior member Harry Takis, who last week won the Queensland U19 Championship held in in Townsville.
Harry shot rounds of 70, 72, 68 and closed with a 69 for a 7 under total of 279, (7 under par). Harry’s outstanding golf saw him win the State Championship by 8 shots, a wonderful result given Harry is only16 years old.
Harry has been a member of VGC for 5 years, currently playing off a handicap of +4. Harry represented VGC in Pennants last year, playing at No 1 in the Men’s Team & has also been selected in the Queensland U 19 team to compete nationally later in the year.
Harry is obviously an extremely talented young golfer and a fine young man, we are very proud of him for this achievement and look forward to many further successes for Harry as he sets out on his journey in Golf.
