After some wet conditions over the last week we are back playing and under sunny conditions. What a weekend it has been so far, on Saturday we had the 2 Ball Ambrose being played in conjunction with the Family Day Trophy taken out by Chris and Steve Heinrich with a great score of 59.5.
Also today the hotly contested Men’s and Women’s Foursomes Championships were played out, a massive weekend of golf.
Men’s Gross event results : After a first round of 76 Jordan Daley and Mitch Daley led by one shot from Bob Watson and Ben Garland. The result eventually went the way of Jordan Daley & Mitch Daley with rounds of 76 – 74 total 150, five shots clear of Bob Watson & Ben Garland with rounds of 77 – 78 total 155. The Nett winners were David Dunn & Allard Bernhofen with scores of 70 – 70 total 140, three shots clear of Paul Gablonski & Michael Bolger on 70 – 73 total 143. The AM Nett winners were Andrew Baker & Casey Bourke with a score of 71.5 and the PM winners were Shane Twomey and Warren Smith with a score of 71.

Women’s Nett event results : The ladies Foursomes are always very closely contested and today was no exception, after a first round score of 73 nett Nancy Allen and Di Gordon led the way by 1 1/2 shot from Kea Schwarz and karen Barton on 74.5 and Narelle Fraser and Barbara Thomas also on 74.5. The Nett result in the end under the Ladies conditions was a draw with both groups of Nancy Allen & Di Gordon and Kea Schwarz & Karen Barton finishing on 152 Nett respectively. The Ladies Gross winners were Noelene Stoney & Anita Bradford with scores of 97-100 total 197.
